What is the difference between oceanfront, beachfront, and ocean view?
Oceanfront
An oceanfront room/suite is directly facing the ocean with unobstructed views. Guests are able to have a direct view of the ocean. Many oceanfront rooms/suites will have a private balcony. Some will also have a private plunge pool or hot tub. Oceanfront rooms do not always have beach access (example: a cliffside resort). Depending on which way the resort is facing, it may be possible to watch beautiful sunrises or sunsets from the room/suite. An oceanfront room/suite is the most popular room accommodations requested by Markwood Magic travelers.
Beachfront A beachfront room/suite is directly on the sand, giving guests immediate access to the beach. While every beachfront room is also oceanfront, not every oceanfront room is beachfront. These rooms are typically more expensive but the location is perfect as you are steps way from the beach from your room.
Ocean View
These rooms/suites offer a partial or full view of the ocean but are not necessarily directly facing it. Some may require looking at an angle from a balcony or window. You might see a good portion of the ocean or only a small sliver. Views can vary a lot. While can see the ocean, you may or may not be able to see the sand leading up to the ocean. An ocean view is best for travelers who want to enjoy glimpses of the ocean without the premium price tag of an oceanfront or beachfront room.
